The Coal Fired Power Station
In this video we go into the Lethabo power station near Johannesburg to have look at how electricity is generated in a coal fired power station.
Lethabo burns coal to produce enormous amounts of power and is one of the most important power stations in South Africa that provides base load electricity to the grid. Base load electricity means that the power stations runs 24 hours a day to supply a consistent supply of energy whenever it is needed.
